Dinghu is situated at the foot of the world famous Dinghu Mountain. It is marked by sub-tropical monsoon climate, with sufficient sunshine and rainfall. The annual sunshine time is over 1509.7 hours, the annual average rainfall is 1800.3mm, and the annual average temperature is 24.1 degrees Celsius. There isn't intense heat in summer nor severe cold in winter.

      Dinghu Mountian,which is famous for it's long history and Forest Ecosystem ,is the first national nature sanctuary of our country, it is located in the mid-part of Guangdong Province in south China, northeastern suburb of Zhaoqing city, about 84 km away from Guangzhou.

     Dinghu Mountain takes the first place among the Four Famous Mountains in Lingnan (the South of the Five Ridges, an area covering Guangdong and Guangxi). It has the typical scene of the South Asian tropical evergreen broad leaves rain forest. There are various species of animals and plants. It is called the Emerald on the Tropic of Cancer.

      Among the scenic resorts in China, Dinghu Mountain is the first that has been appointed by the UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific & Cultural Organization) as a natural reserve of the world and a position-fixed HAB (Human and Bisophere) Research Station. On the Mountain are famous Qingyun (Happy Cloud)Temple, Baiyun (White-Cloud) Temple, Yuelong Nunnery etc. Millions of People come to the mountain for sightseeing every year.
